Can't agree with the shadow here, bit doubtful about 8 speed but 9 and 10 are compatible in use whatever the manufacturers say. Think there may be a difference but oh so small. Make of chain doesn't matter.

I just put a 10 speed KMC chain on my Campagnolo Veloce equipped bike. works really well and you have the benefit of the "quick link" in case you want to take it off. bought it from Ebay, came from taiwan in about 5 days.

No personal experience of 9 speed chain on a 10 speed drivetrain, but I did try a £10 bargain Mavic 10 speed chain from CRC. Found it a bugger to index my 105 10 speed gears because it was marginally wider than the Shimano chain.

    Try it and see.

I'm using a 9 speed chain on an Shimano Ultegra ("10 speed") chainset set - no problems at all.

again your best bet is to get a campag 10 speed chain(or a compatible KMC one so you get the speed link) a lot less hassle and why take a chance on having the wrong one?
