Shimano front system compatibility
Hi, I'm building a triple cyclocross/hybrid with some existing parts I have. Its gonna be flat bar and the shifter I have are SL-R770 shifters which are triple compatible.
Firstly I assume its fair to say my FD-4500 and FD-R770 front mechs won't be compatible on a triple crank. Is this correct?
Secondly, is there any difference between a FD-R773, FD-6603, FD-6703 and FD-5703?
Will any of these work equally as well with the shifters on a triple?
Finally, I read someone comment on a forum about using a different front mech on a 52 tooth outer ring compared to a 50 tooth...this can't be right can it?
