Bent inner chainring

Hi
Recently I have replaced the rear cassette and a new chain on my bike
Once this had all been completed i just went for a ride to test it out and put a lot of pressure to see if it was ok.
It wasn't. I have completely bent the inner chainring. I can provide a picture if needed.
Im taking it to a mechanic but im wondering if anyone knows how it happened?
There was no major impact or other things banging just riding after replacing parts
I have also changed my cassette from 11-34 to 11-32.

    Possibly shifting under pressure. Try and bend it back if you can.

    Here is the picture to show the extent of the problem :roll:
    The bike is 2 years old and the part has not been replaced but as I said in the first part cassette and chain have been replaced - could the metal be weakened after two years

    Mechanic said that the chainring was bent already due to impact, he found other bend in another positions. He said that the ring was bound to go. Lucky I did it on the roads instead of the trails.
