Shimano Bottom bracket Removal Tool

hi there i got a shimano bottom bracket removal set off ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110968487947? ... 1439.l2649

now i took the bike to a bike shop where they took it off in the end as i had trouble with the tool as it would only fit in one side the other it would not my bottom bracket looks like this

it has a light plastic side bit this is the bit it does not fit into properly the other side it fits fine now is it a doggy tool or do you generally need two different types? thanks for looking guys

the tool does not fit the grey plastic side should it fit both sides or do i need a different one ?

read parktools. same fitting both sides.
