ive recently purchased a new mountain but my front forks are very bouncy off road ive been told that's because there cheap :( and they don't really have any decent rebound or something jus wondering what would be a better choice of forks nothing retarding expensive im not rocka fella.

currently have suntour xcm v3 100ml travel mech lockout

budget

£100-£150

prefer brand new

would consider decent second hand.

    What bike do you have, and where do you ride?
    Personally, I would make sure that your current forks are set up properly and upgrade them once you break them.
    By that point, you will probably want a new bike.

    Having read your other post about this new bike, I suggest you get a set of rigid forks for it, for the following reasons:
    Cheaper than suspension forks;
    Lighter than suspension forks;
    Simpler than suspension forks;
    Tougher than suspension forks (at the same price point);
    Less maintenance than suspension forks;
    You'll have some motivation to learn to pick your lines and ride with a bit of finesse, rather than trying to roll straight over everything;
    As I recall, you're not even 20 yet so you should still have a fair amount of shock absorbing capability in your arms.
    On-one do a nice range in steel and carbon, Exotic carbon ones are highly regarded, CRC have a range as well

    Why shouldn't the bike be in good condition at the end of the year?
    Look after it, wash it, maintain it. Simples.

    Learn riding techniques before blowing more cash on forks you don't really need.
