Halfords Exodus roof bike rack

This week I indulged in a new set of oval roof bars and a pair or matching Exodus branded roof carriers.
The bars fit well and I am happy with these, but I cannot for the life of me get the carriers to fit.
Other reviews say its a piece of cake, but I cannot get the bracket to go round the underside of the bars. I can see how easy it would be for the square bars but they don't seem to stretch far enough for the same brand aero bars to allow the handle to clamp down.
Has anyone fitted this combination and can explain. The manual is exceptionally useless. How does the t track system work?
Anyone got any photos?

Hello
I have those racks and was confused intially, basically with the 'aero' bars you don't use the brackets at all, they are for the square roof bars. With the cycle carrier you should have got a T-bar fitting kit, basically a flat piece of plastic with a screw going upwards, they slot into the top of the aero bars (you need to remove the rubber insert strip at the top), slide those in and then screw the cycle carrier onto it.

Took the carriers back today and told them they wouldn't fit and how it's a bit naff. They agreed which was nice of them and offered me a Thule 591 unit instead. I then told them I would need 2 and again they agreed.
Very happy man right now, all fitted and secure for sensible money. There fitting "technician" didn't have a clue so I just installed it myself.0
