Jacobs Ladder & Surrounding - Peak District

Hi All,
New to this forum and just had a quick question about riding in the Peak District.
We plan to ride Jacobs Ladder route this weekend (www.mountainbikerides.co.uk/routes/1-th ... adder.html) and normally take our dog mtn biking - he runs just ahead along the trail and happily sprints for our normal 10 mile fast forest rides (Thetford, Suffolk)
Just wanted to know what the general policy is on dogs - he is whistle trained so control is not an issue and very used to running with bikes.

Only issue at the moment will be, if your route takes you across farmland or open moorland then a lot of that area has sheep with lambs and there are signs everywhere saying all dogs on leads.0
