Hello,

I'm thinking about buying between those two: Giant XTC 4.5 and XTC LX, both from round 2008.

There's not much online about LX so I figured I'll ask you guys. Does the LX refer to rapid rise rear mech or is there more to it?

The main difference seems to lie in forks: 4.5 has RS Dart2 while LX has got Tora 318 80mm.

Cheers.

Isn't the LX an older model from around 2006?

    The 'numbers' (i.e XtC 3.5, XtC 4.5, etc) didn't come out until 2007 or 2008 I don't think.

List the spec. I doubt many people memorise years old spec, especially as most bikes get bits changed regularly.

The Tora was quite a bit better than the Dart. But both would need to be checked.
