New Chainring / Crankset
I have a Carrera Subway which I use for routed not suitable for my road bike – canal towpaths etc (or when I don’t want to get the road bike dirty!). Not a road bike but MTB section is not right either...
It has an SR Suntour Crankset with the chainrings held by four bolts; one of the chain rings is bent with a couple of missing teeth – although it runs OK I think I should replace it. I have a couple of questions:
Can I replace just the chainring and, if so, what will fit?
If I decide to replace the full crankset and bottom bracket (the current one is not great) then how do I determine size (length) of bottom bracket – is this always the same for a given crankset?
