Mehning Losers!

Feeling absolutely knackered today even though I slept well. Clearly need more sleep.

Not much happening today, the boss has gone to Russia for a week, so we're not being pressured into anything, which is nice.

Roll on Friday, which is payday and Bank Holiday weekend!

Laters!

    Mornin' Windows lickers

Very chilled weekend was had, and now it's into work to commence the 'Reprogramming' of my minions so that they're vaguely competant when I'm gone, and less reliant on me for anything even approaching practical.

It's just occured to me that I've got 9 working days left here.

So few days. So much havoc.

Oh, this will be fun!

Onwards! To caffiene! And Clank-centric propaganda!

    Morning bumders

Got up at half five to go out on the road bike, then decided it was a gay idea so went back to bed. Uni meh today. Was a very good weekend, nice and alcohol filled. I'm fairly broke now though

Bit foggy here but 10c when I got up so slapped the bike on the roof of the chariot so I can drag it up Kirkhill after work & do something I actually enjoy on a weekday.

Should be a quiet day at work so extra bacon shoveling time.

after the w.ends excess I went to bed at 10pm! Yet still knackered. Today is meant to be the start of an easier week - I doubt it though!

    morning all,

had an awesome day at antur stiniog yesterday. it was about 16 degrees and bright sunshine all day, views, were stunning from the top. got in 13 runs I think. not bad considering I missed a few with punctures. I had a puncture on the last run before lunch near the top and had to run down with my bike to the bottom, that's longer than it feels on a bike!!!!

anyway, loads to do in work today as I've had 4 days off.

Well despite all the best plans there was no biking this weekend. Saturday was a wash out and Sunday was spent having to do some DIY, beefing up the security on a friend's shed then just the usual boring stuff, cutting the grass, washing the car, washing the bike etc.

As a reward for all this effort it was a beer and chicken kebab evening in the garden soaking up the last of the sun.

Minionless again today and recruitment has hit a stumbling block over excessive salary demands. I'm not going to be held to ransom for someone I'll have to train anyway.

    Time for some tea.

    Later......

Jealous! Which runs did you take? I never got past the Red, did one run of that and went back to the Blue  I'm not bothered though, I had great fun on it! It's a long walk down from the top. Considering it takes 3 mins or so to ride down (I never actually timed myself) it's surprising how long it takes to walk it. I once passed a bloke with a puncture at the top, rode down, got a lift back up and still beat him down

all of them, 1 run on the blue to get warmed up, then 2 on the red, then 2 or 3 on black powder and then the rest on 'the black' :D

Great weekend, took the kids out on Saturday morning allotment and DIY all afternoon.

Yesterday was the Tour de Tendring, a nice little 60 mile pootle around the local villages with only a few stupid route choices, much fun was had annoying Rapha wearing proper mamils. I'm sorry but 10 mph is not an acceptable speed for a road bike. After this it was more allotment and a 2 hour dog walk.

Not tired in the slightest and up at 5.30am

Ouch! Legs hurt, shoulders hurt and brain is tired but it's all for a good reason, namely that I went out on my bike yesterday and today I am paying the price.

Good weekend though, running and shopping Saturday and much gossiping with mates over a rather extended lunch which significantly reduced my shopping time. However I have managed to get most of the throw away clothes for Isle of Wight sorted.

Sunday was a day of riding and then zoning out totally for the afternoon. Which has resulted in an unusually mellow me for a Monday morning.

Cannot wait for this week to finish though and the bank holiday next weekend! Which will mean more riding in the Fod this time.

Did bugger all but ride and over the weekend, which suits me just fine. Went straight out for a 'swift pint' after work friday and woke up saturday with only the faintest memory of rolling in. Legs hurting now, so will give them a rest today and resume the punishment on tuesday. Trails are mostly running really nicely at present, bar the one that 7 motocrossers rode up on sunday reducing it to an unrideable churned up bog.

Had an enjoyable weekend riding my bike, watched a muddy race friday night which didn't look like fun, had a ride round thetford sat then met VW & mrs VW and no.2? at the race there on sun which was dry and fun - despite being thetford.

    Back to reality and meh

They've ruined it mate, berms are all chewed so you just bog down in the middle of them and the off camber bits are now more or less unrideable.

Day with the tools require to fix it and then some time for it to sort itself out, but can't really do that until fences are restored to prevent them going up there in first place.

    Where about was this?

it's a semi-secret DHish trail right by my house. there's 3 main trails and loads of offshoots. it's really well maintained by the locals and the 1 track is superb, one of my favs to ride. I hope it's not the one clamps is on about, but I reckon it is :( :x

Ok, I understand the needs for hush-hush.

MPVs off of legal ROW is one of my big bug-bears. Fingers crossed it's not your local trail they've trashed.

Trails getting messed up is annoying. My localsish one has been torn to pieces by the forestry commission, stripped a complete hilltop & taken away most of the trail so it's now pretty dull aswell as completely tearing up the path upto the site in that gives you access.
