Any recommendations, ideally in a 25 as an all rounder although failing that I'll go for a summer pair and change them for the dodgy weather.
Thanks

If you ride on nice roads, Vittoria Open Corsa SC are seriously fantastic tyres... the sidewall is a bit fragile, so they are not for the dodgy roads, I found... otherwise Challenge Forte are very good too

Veloflex Master are reportedly very good - I have some but haven't had a chance to try them out yet. Handmade in Italy - I got mine for £25 each from Planet X. Tricky to get on the first time though as they are made differently to normal tyres and are completely flat off the tyre.

Here's what they all look like -

    Challenge - ditto a bit

Conti do a nice Grand Prix Classic if you can find them, e.g., Here

I've been looking at the Challenge Stradas for a 25mm tan side wall but the reviews aren't encouraging about their puncture protection. Also, they are a pig to get hold of in the UK.

Don't think the above recommendations fit the bill for what the poster was asking.

25mm all rounder with tan wall- would go for Panaracer Pasela

Those are good but I wouldn't call them an all rounder either - really a light touring tyre I'd have thought.

OP is better off getting tan walls as a summer tyre anyway as regular dirty wet roads turn the sidewalls black anyway! I've never managed to get the tan wall tyres on my tourer properly clean after a long winter.

Those tyres are another option though - Schwalbe Delta Cruisers - very cheap and pretty good but wired so not something for a road rocket.

Does seem odd that you can't seem to get conventional fast road bike tyres with tan walls at the moment.

Yup, I've got cream Duranos on the commuter at the moment as I couldn't find any tan sidewalls that fit the bills

I got the Veloflex Masters as my Mallorca tyres.
The run extremely smooth even on rough roads (yes, we did find some) float over the smooth ones and I highly recommend them as a "good bike" tyre.
They cut up easily but are supposed to have a p* resistant layer that did hold up on the bad road. They are 23mm.
If you can get them on sale for the good bike, why not?
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Not only that but there is an inherent old school retro / modern high tech fusion coolness about a carbon fibre bike running tan walls. 8)

Poor picture but makes the point:

I get you now, that giant looks fantastic !

Just can't get away with modern coloured walls, the white ones like those american pimp mobiles and are terribe to keep clean !

They look better than black walls!

Had some Challenge Forte's last year which were excellent for racing in the wet particularly. Side wall started to rip open one one after about 6 months though. Just trying to look at the Veloflex Masters on Planet x but their website seems to be slow again...
