One of England's finest defenders, proper professional footballer, decent bloke. Stayed loyal through thick and thin.
There are so many snide, pre madonnas who's only concern is what colour they vagazell their bentleys which makes the retirement of Jaimie Carragher so poignant, a great loss to LFC and the premier league.
Please all take a moment of silence and reflection.

Not a LFC fan but I have to say he was a great pro, always gave his best. That's all you can ask as a fan.

Tell that to the Arsenal fan who's head he cut while being this 'decent'.

Strange how certain players are vilified for their wrongdoings and yet others can do things like this or shag their brothers wife and are talked about glowingly. Funny old game!

And opened a family friendly bar in town - top man.

he's been a great servant. hope he gets on well in his coaching/managment career when he gets to it. not sure his pundit arrangement will go too well as he can be a little hard to understand. good luck Carra!

So are you saying the fan which chucked the coin/item at him didn't deserve getting it chucked back at him, I'd of dine the same if someone chucked at item at me and sure you would do too

Carragher had many qualities that you have to admire as a player, but seeing out of his backside a person who has thrown a coin at him and then being able to precisely throw it back at them avoiding every innocent person around the culprit? No they're not abilities you'd associate with Jamie, or any player for that matter.

I'm not a great fan of the Eton game but I do admire those lads who spend a career at the same club. I suppose it's because it is a bit old school. He was also a local lad (I think) and you don't see that very often these days
