Never had any issues with mine, had it two years.

works fine for me. I need to wet it a little though or it does play up...and clean it occasionally.

The basic one is absolutely fine

I sent my premium one back as it rubbed my chest and caused sores. I've used the basic one for both running with forerunner and riding with edge 500 and never had an issue in years of use so will stick with that
