New bike sizing

Hey, I'm a beginner to MBk and just ordered a new bike, specialized hardrock. I'm a 5ft 4 lady and ordered the small originally, then in my wisdom thinking it would be too small, called them up and changed it to a medium. Now I'm worried its gonna be too big 
I pick it up Monday and have the option to change it if I'm not happy with it but then would have to wait another couple of days to get it and I'm very impatient!
Any views or help would be appreciated.

Hi, fellow newbie here, at 5' 4" a medium's going to be too big.0

Thanks for advise, just called back and changed it to small. They are gonna hate me! Can't wait to get it now tho!0

No worries. I'm 5 foot 10 with 34" inside leg, and I'm at the upper end of medium to lower end of large usually, a medium would've been way too big for you (i have an old mate who's 5' 6" and he rides smalls).0

It still might fit - try it. Sizes vary, as do we.0
