There are also highlights on Sky Sports if you have it."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Bit of a pompous arrogant reply. some folk cant afford certain sky/virgin packages and some folk even have families and a mortgage to keep.0 -

How are you watching Eurosport without a Sky / Virgin package?0 -
More worrying is does Sky have exclusive rights to show the highlights first? If so doesn't bode we'll for TDF as I'll be forced to watch ITV4.Specialized Venge S Works
Cannondale Synapse
Enigma Etape
Genesis Flyer Single Speed
Turn the corner, rub my eyes and hope the world will last...0 -

If you're already watching Eurosport through Sky or Virgin, upgrading to a recordable box is not a huge amount (I think it's £15 if you set it up yourself at Sky and about £50 if not).
If you watch Eurosport through Eurosport Player, then it's unfortunate Sky seem to have the primetime highlights. Thy will be on youtube somewhere though, in possibly better quality as you won't have the buffering.
At the end of the day, cycling is a sport that runs in worktime hours and if it wasn't for being able to record races and watch when permitted (i.e. avoiding Corrie), I'd not be seeing half what I do, as yes I go out to work to pay off my mortgage and I can't hog the tv at all hours as I have a family too...0 -
Eurosport themselves have said they can't broadcast Giro highlights earlierthere are rights restrictions which mean we can't show it earlier I am afraid
I suspect Sky can outbid Eurosport pretty much whenever they want to.
AlsoThere's no such restriction in place for Le Tour.0 -
Just a note..if you have your sky+ on series record for the Giro....you may need to switch channels today as its moto GP then probably switch back again later.0
-
I watch it through eurosport player on iPhone or laptop and stream it to TV via Apple TV, so no record option.
Costs £2.99 per month, great value given just about everything cycling wise is shown.0 -
I didn't realise that Sky were showing early evening highlights. Eurosport told me that they can't show their highlights any earlier due to rights issues. Now it all makes sense.
I am watching via the Eurosport Player too. If you use the Mac or PC version you can rewind the live channels by three hours. Depending on when you get home from work this means you can catch the last hour of two of the day's stage.0 -
You pays your money you takes your choice.
If you pay £2.99 a month you get all that affords, if you pay for Sky Sports with Sky+, you get that.
Simple really. Oh, and I have a job, child and rent to pay, if that makes any difference0
