Hi Guys, just purchased a 2013 GT Aggressor 3.0

Want to know if it's possible to upgrade to disc brakes without much hassle? If so, what is the most economical yet reliable set of disc brakes i can purchase? If price is right both front and rear, otherwise maybe just the fronts?

Just looking for the cool factor :)

Cheers

Does the bike/forks have disc mounts?
    Are the wheels disc wheels?
Are the shifters and brake levers seperate?
Why did you buy the wrong bike?

If you can answer yes to Cooldad's questions, Shimano Deores are really good and often on deals. If answers to the above aren't yes then it could be very costly... new bike time!

I could hazard some guesses that the wheels aren't disc and the brakes aren't seperate, but you have the bike - look at it.
I would get rid of the fork before anything else.

Look on the side of the wheels, opposite side to the drive at the rear and see if you have a flange with 6 bolt holes for a disc to be mounted, some GT's do come with disc ready wheels.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    OK Canada spec bike http://www.gtbicycles.com/can/2013/bike ... ressor-3-0

the only thing that is disc ready is the frame. if you have to have discs sell the bike and get one with discs.
