i feel for anyone with the misfortune of being at the cricket. could it have been any more boring thus far, add in the not exactly balmy weather in NW8 and the rest of london and it makes it worse.

fair play, most folks would have bought their tickets well in advance hoping for a bit of warmer weather but then juts look at the forecast and wrap up warm.
This isnt wham bam thank you mam t20 cricket its an attritional test match and for the price you pay (excusing the £20 jamie oliver steak sandwiches) gets you 6 hours of play genrally and normally a great atmosphere. plus at the weekends you get the looneys dressing up and the mexican waves that attract boo's when the members done join in :-)
sometimes the cricket aint great but you know what you get with tests its just the higher expectations of runs flowing nowadays with the shorter format of the game.
if i had the choice i'd be at Lords right nowCube Cross 2016

Yeah what a loads of rubbish that was.0

Stuart Broad 26 not out then takes 7-44. Good job he's an ugly bugger or I'd be a little jealousPinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0

nothing worse than watching cricket when its cold!0

Hopefully that's not broad's sole good spell for the summer. The utter gashness of Finn's bowling might even make him Indian in disguise.
Vettori back for the second test, that should strengthen their batting. And ban Williamson, as bad a chucker as Ojha.0 -
By the look of it the second test will probably be a victim of the weather. Having said that, if the wicket is similar to Lords they wouldn't need a full five days of play anyway.0

Playing cricket when it's cold is worse, that ball don't half hurt the hands when one gets blasted at you and you've been stood doing nothing for a couple of hours!
Don't think anyone with tickets tomorrow will be having much to watch!0 -
or neglecting to go out with a thigh pad on.0

As a spectator, I guess I'd choose the cold over the ridiculous heat of April in 01 and lack of circulation (and somehow pack of shade too) in the stadia we had then. That was only saved by being one of the best series ever here. Much better an experience now.
Think I'd rather play in the heat given I don't use any protection beyond a box, pads and helmet, though not always and that I'm too useless to do anything for more than 10 minutes :oops:0 -
bat in the heat, but on a really hot day theres nothing worse than bowling 12 overs and chasing leather.0
