Pictures coming soon!

So I got a free Reynolds steel frame from the scrap man, Swapped it for a couple of old metal lock box I had in the shed. (i'm guessing the lock box will bring in more for scrap value than a bike frame).

Frame was in decent condition, paintwork was pretty banged up and there was some surface rust but after I stripped it down using my sander it was ready to go, Its a large frame so about right for me. Other than a Reynolds Stamp on the underside of the bottom bracket there is not real sign of make or model but looks pretty good quality and welds are neat.

I have some other bits and pieces that I am going to build it up with, its all fairly old stuff but it all works:

Frame painted in VW Metallic Indigo blue plus top coat
Charge drop bars
Decathlon clincher wheels
Conti Super Sport 28c white wall tyres
Brooks Saddle (not fancy one just the standard one that came with Dad's Raleigh Europa)
generic alu seatpost
Velo short swan stem
Shimano Exage 300ex downtube index shifter 7 spd
Shimano Exage 300ex downtube friction shifter
Shimano Biopace standard double chainset
Shimano Alivio rear mech
Shimano 400ex front mech
Tektro drop brakes & Pads
Shimano R400 brake levers
Generic blue bar ribbon hiding blue polka dot bar tape underneath

The only new things that re needed are 2 new tubes, spray paint and new cables. Total outlay is about £20 !

As I don't know the bike's make or model I have decided to call it Geoff, it will also get a moustache.

Cheers
