MTB Buying Help

Looking to buy a decent freeride/dh bike, however i have a limited budget of 450, so i though it may be cheaper to buy second hand parts and build my own as it seems a tad cheaper possibly than buying a nice bike new as i have a very limited budget of £650
So Far Ive Found a Frame:On-One Carbon 456 Frame
Forks: Cheap Fox Talas/Pikes
and possibly a set of wheels
How ever this has taken my budget down to about 100 quid, and i was wondering what parts i need (as i dont know all the specific parts i need) and if there is ANYWAY i can get them all for under 100 quid
Cheers any feedback and help would be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

In a word, no. You'd struggle to finish the build for triple that!0

It will not be doable for £100. Unless you have any good spare bits in the shed or on another bike that you would be willing to put on your final frame. But even then, you will need to have quite a bit of spare parts to get it finished up.
Id say spend a little more time saving up some money to make sure you can actually finish it. There wouldnt really be a point getting a Carbon frame then throwing a load of crap on it that you can get for £100. Would defeat the purpose.
So get a bit more money together so you can have a bigger budget to finish the build on.0 -
1/ Way cheaper to buy a used bike than build your own from scratch
2/ an On-One 456 is not a downhill/freeride frame
3/ You should be able to find a few years old Specialized Big Hit for about £650"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes
