On Tuesday I had a puncture after 6.5 miles, I repaired it last night and today I had a puncture after 8.5 miles... is it likely to be a coincidence? Surely if there was something left in the tyre, it would have gone down before the 8.5 mile mark?

Any chance that the tyre is worn?

Assuming you checked the tyre, it's probably just a coincidence. I got a P the other week, I was so disgusted I stuck on a set of Marathon+, couple of days later I pulled a ruddy great lup of glass out of the tyre that normally would have been a puncture. Sometimes they seem to happen in wee bursts, none for ages, then a load in a row.Disc Trucker
