Focus Cayo 2011 upgrade

Had this bike stolen some months ago. Unsure of what to upgrade to. FC11 had the shimano 105 kit, with some heavy-ish wheels I replaced, also replaced the seatpost and brake pads.
Where to go next? The FC11 was around £1k new. I see that the 2013 winner here is £2k and still comes with 105 kit, would I notice a significant quality upgrade? The Storck Scenero also looks interesting, and I notice that the Focus Cayo Evo 4 won the 2012 bike award.
Must admit to only having as much knowledge as a brief glance has afforded me, but I would like a better bike than I had, which would also be a few kg lighter if price permitted!

i have the same bike and briefly looked at changing.
unfortunately their appears to be very little of the same quality in the same price bracket.
If i was in the same position i would not hesitate on a new Focus or a Canyon
Good luck with the search

Yes I have been looking at the Canyons, and like the SLX. Also handy that they actually give you a weight listing per bike, annoying not knowing what weight rating others are!
On a different tack, can you use a rear pannier mount of these sort of frames? Wondering if it would be up to touring.0
