You could try taking the bike outside and take some pictures with natural lighting. It always looks a lot better!
Just make sure it's not too sunny (can't see that happening in the near future anyway).

Yes, fair point. Bike's in my office at the moment where I've built it up over the last few weeks, bit by bit during my lunch breaks. Haven't had it outside at all yet!
