startern

sold all my shimano pedals, all used. 5 photos sent to startern who buys the ultegra pedals and two sets of hardly worn cleats for £25 posted ( postage was almopst £4). Described as working perfectly but uesd with scuffs etc. Photos show a slight lifting of the replaceable scuff plates which have no impact on the pedals ( they don't need replacing and pedals work perfectly), startern for some reason decides he doesn't want hem. Offered full refund minus postage as item is as described. He's now kicking off, any thoughts forum users

Prior to the sale I asked for photos of the pedals. I received 3 photos by email (THREE not FIVE) which you see hosted in the above thread. Nowhere do these photos show lifting of the plate from the pedal. I received the pedals and it's obvious looking at the pedals, the plate has separated from the pedal by a fair bit. Possibly deliberate missuse -- not my perogative, nor could I know!
I asked Berni prior to the sale if there were any issues with the pedals. He said there were no issues.
Well so here we are. I politely asked to return everything for a full refund. He wants me to pay postage both ways because it was my fault. Pardon?
I could barely accept the condition of these pedals as it is. With the plate lifting like that, the onus is on him to sort it out. Why doesn't he?

You didn't mention the plate coming apart from pedal platform. I wouldn't use these pedals the way they are. The pedal is unusable and needs to be repaired.
I asked you twice if there was any problem with them. You said there were no problems.
This is what I am referring to:
