Hello All,
I have recently started a blog devoted to the appreciation of cycling in and around Lancashire. The aim was to start a blog that focuses on the joy and beauty of cycling in the stunning and versatile countryside that surrounds the region.
I will be regularly updating the blog with the region's best cycling locations and interesting and exciting cycle routes. I will also be looking to write features on some of the regions best bike shops. I want to engage with my audience by inviting you to share with me your favourite routes, places and Strava recordings in order to create a sense of community both online and on the road.
My first piece is on my personal favourite climb, Cragg Vale. You can read it here at http://www.lancashirecyclelanes.blogspot.com
you can also follow the blog's corresponding facebook and twitter pages at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lancashire-Lanes/595519867138925 and http://www.twitter.com/lancs_lanes
Thank you for reading and I look forward to any feedback you may provide.
Be safe and enjoy!

Hi Ricky
I rode Cragg Vale last week the day after the surrounding moor was on fire so ended up going home smelling like a sweaty sock that had been on fire, beautiful area though and very little traffic. I was following the route for the Over the edge sportive that is due to take place this Sunday for the British heart foundation. I believe you can join on the day so if there's anyone fancy giving it and Cragg vale a go I've submitted the link below. I'm from Lanc's and think the area is great for cycling as there's plenty of hills both long (Cragg Vale) and steep (The Rake) with many miles of virtually traffic free roads especially up near the forest of Bowland. I think on your blog that you also missed pointing out that Hebden bridge is the lesbian capital of the Uk.. Not that it matters in cycling terms but, makes the cake stop that little bit more interesting.
