I haven't done this before and I am not planning too this year!

I've done the "Dartmoor Devil" 100km from Bovey Tracey on many occasions that goes around Dartmoor at that time of year. I think out of seven times I've done it, once was loverly and sunny with dry roads and low winds. Once it was raining very heavily for the entire event. Mostly though, it was windy for the entire event, there was some rain and occasional sunshine.

It seems from the route that you won't be experiencing the worst excesses of Dartmoor, it only goes up to 150m. But there are repeated climbs of 100m or so. As it only just touches the edge of the moor, the roads should be ok. At this time of year on the moor there is a lot of debris on the roads

Other than that, it's pretty normal for events of this sort: as it is very hilly you will need to eat properly as you go round. Doing all that ascent uses up the calories.

I did the clawhammer, their April sportive and roads where as described above then. Would be rude not to enter hammer & sickle.

April saw approx 400 riders with about 100 no show due to weather which was actually pretty good considering the weather the day before!
