Hi,

I am fairly new to cycling and very new to london cycling, so sorry if this question has been answered before couldn't find anything...

I've decided to try the strava "Battaglia in Montagna" challenge. Basically the challenge is to ride 800km in two weeks.
Given work and other obligations only realistic schedule requires me to to do two 200km rides in the two weekends.
It seems that the dunwich dynamo route, is a good option.
I usually ride around surrey hills and i could just follow one of the surrey hill sportives and add some more km as well.

Any other route i should consider?
Also if you are interested in joining me let me know.

I've been cycling for a couple of years. I've done a few century rides and felt i could do more.
But i've only recently taken to strava & gps and it is good motivation to get out the door.
I do around 800k a month (on a good month)
My commute is really short 10k both ways ... I don't even bother turing on the garmin.
not worth waiting for it to get a signal

I've had a go at the 100 mile challenge then my Di2 failed (unlike wiggo i didn't "park" it and get a new one), so that didn't work.

I started the may massive but due to work i could only manage 140k in the last 13 days! But still 2 weeks and a bit left on that one...

My plan is to do 4 rides of 50k during the week and then a bigger (200k) ride in the weekend.

Day 1 (today) has gone according to plan!
Day 2 (tomorrow) have to travel for work so can't cycle, lets call this the rest day

So.... is it going to plan!?

Looks like perfect weather for a 200km ride this weekend!

Back to back 200s are very achievable, especially if the weather plays ball. Take them steady. A decent 200 is Brighton and back - use the BHF route down to Brighton and then come back via the Surrey hills.

The may massive challenge started well for me with a 400 on the bank holiday weekend, but I have had a lingering cough and cold that has kept the distances down since then. It should all come good in the end though with both challenges.

So far its going well, or at least according to plan: http://app.strava.com/athletes/panpan

I was planning to do 200k during the week and another 200k in the weekend.
And repeat the same thing next week (how creative!)

For me because this is more km that i usually do per week i went for more flat routes, which given the name of the challenge is a bit odd! But still the weather is good, and the days are longer so its nice to be out on the bike ...
