Hi, I've just had to send my Shimano 105 left STI shifter off for a warranty repair and so I've had to strip off all the gear and brake cables to get it off.

Now the new shifter is on the way, I had a quick look at my bike and have discovered that the clamp bolts for where the brake cable connects to the brake calipers (also 105) have made a successful bid for freedom. :?

Anyone know of an easy place to get replacement bits such as this? It seems a bit silly to have to replace the whole caliper for just a missing clamp bolt.

Cheers.

Right, been doing some digging and my bike ( http://www.bmc-racing.com/int-en/bikes/ ... 1_105.html) appears to have Shimano BR561 brakes.

So I've been to the Shimano technical documents and found that 105 BR5600 and BR5700 use the same part I'm missing (Shimano code number Y8DU98090) but my brakes are not on the list of 105 brakes on Shimano's website.

What is the deal here? I just google Shimano BR561 brakes and they seem to be 'non-series' brakes whatever than means. But apparently are 'equivalent' to BR5700 brakes.

So the question now becomes- if I do buy Y8DU98090 - will it fit?

Just googled the part number and at 2.99 US dolars it is worth the chance so in the uk it should not be more than £5.00 see if any of your mates will let you try one from another brake set it is almost certainly the same shape size throughout the Shimano range just the quality of finish and possibly material for the Dura Ace

Yeah, I've put in an order since I posted - all the 105 cable clamp bolts look identical. Cheers.
