I need to have a built bike shipped from Brighton to the West Country. Can anyone recommend a good one who will need minimum of dismantling?

I've posted a few bikes and they all had to fit into a standard bike box that I got from my LBS. No different from each other but Parcel Monkey was the cheapest & gave me no hassle (unlike Parcel Force who were unreliable). I guess you could pay for a bigger box? Usually though its just wheels, pedals and handlebar or stem that needs sorting out.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

Price will vary wildly depending on how much insurance you want with the postage, I've used 'send it now' before and they were good.ARTHUR

Don't use parcel monkey! We used them to send bike to my brother. We put the bike in a standard cardboard bike box along with his helmet, tools, shoes, bibs, jerseys etc. When it arrived the staples had been removed and everything apart from the bike stolen then the box had been taped up. After a lot of angry phone calls it ended with a response of "stuff always goes missing, you'll never find it. Claim on your insurance that's what it's for"
That police weren't interested either as it was picked up in cardiff and sent to London via their depot in Birmingham they couldn't decide which forces responsibility it was.Cannondale CAAD 10

Oh - thanks. I was going to use them again as they are cheap & it worked OK for me last time. This has put me off though...'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

Hi
Just reviving this thread because I'm hoping to send my (electric) bike to France for a holiday, and Parcelmonkey seemed to have a tempting quoted rate of £14 one way (before insurance I imagine) for 21kg, HOWEVER, when I input dimensions they say "no we won't carry - it's too big". If I artificially constrain dimensions to smaller than the smallest adult frame with all the parts dismantled it's still £30 minimum. Would anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
