Grrr.... get a world map. Cut along the lines of Capricorn and Cancer and stick a drawing pin into the remainder. Go there, don't bother living in temperate zones.

I am guessing an 80 mile trip round Perthshire in a Scottish "summer".
Or even a 8 mile trip.

I knew it would go belly up as soon as I bought some cargo shorts last weekend! I can't even get out for a short ride let alone a decent one.

I've hedged my bets and bought some roubaix 3/4's for the summer

As the Anglo Saxons said, " cast not a clout 'til May is out!"
Although, to be fair, they probably didn't have Windstopper fabrics 8)

    Spoiler alert.

Do not read any further if you cannot handle disappointment.

    I read elsewhere that......

The gulf stream is doing what it did last year and is settled further south than normal - so we will get an Arctic summer.

    Sorry guys.

On the other hand, with that expectation, things can only get better. Right?

I suspect I need to hold my hand up and say that it's my fault.

Finally got the winter rubber off the bikes the weekend before last and replaced them with the summer treads.

    Sorry.

I've been mudguard-less since the start of April, but I spent yesterday evening fitting a solitary front mudguard to my bike. I have got it spot on though. May spend tonight fitting the rear one. I've seen the forecast and I'm not planning on venturing out in the deluge they are promising.

Well I spent a second evening fitting the rear mudguard. Very pleased with the result. That should signal the end of the rainy weather surely?

I'm an eternal optomist when it comes to the weather- 'it will improve soon, right?'
And it is still Spring after all- Summer starts in June so plenty of time for things to dramatically improve lol! (At least that's what I'm telling myself)
