Just came across these on ebay.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/oakley-jawbon ... 4d0c4e5269

Now although they are not advertised as genuine they are also not being advertised as Chinese copies which they clearly are!
I got these exact ones a few weeks ago for about £15 delivered!
They are good but obvious copies. Livestrong did not do white & black frames. Genuine Oakley's come with two lenses not three and the hinge bolt should be a star drive not an allen key. All this info is easy to find with a quick search.

Maybe the seller doesn't know or care but 12 bids so far and at £83, hope no one from here is bidding on them (or selling them  !)

On the plus side genuine replacement lenses do fit in these frames but that's another debate altogether :)

Why don't you report the listing to eBay? Click on the 'Report item' link in the listing.

Not overly worried about reporting people selling or buying fakes on ebay, as previously said 'more fool them!' Just wanted to point it out in case anyone from here was bidding.

To be honest, a long while back I rushed into an eBay auction for some Jawbones and won.

Sinking feeling set in and I managed to work out they were fakes, didn't pay up, messaged the seller and they re-listed.

Close escape... I nearly ended up owning Jawbones!

thats what DX is there for no!? no one pays that much for frames really do they? I got mine as they were better than the cheap original designs available from all the retailers put together. If they put a * instead of o i would wear them still, not once did i think i want oakley because they are the best material and retail at a reasonable price..

also on my wage nevermind my skill on a bike, i couldn't afford to replace something like that on a whim or inevitable introduction to the tarmac :|

    *rant over* sorry

  • Google images shows lots of black and white Livestrong Jawbones with 3 lenses. How are you so sure they are fake? Just interested.

If you follow the pictures, most of them will probably link to ebay.

I have a set that I purchased about 4 years ago (not from Ebay though) that came with 3 lenses, mine are genuine & do recall that Oakley would allow you to customise your Yellow/Black set to any colours you wanted & they simply posted them out as normal Oakley's but with the Livestrong info enclosed in the box.

Not that I'm suggesting that the Ebay versions list are or are not fakes.

The biggest give away is not having a torx bolt.

Chapeau on the detective work, lets hope anyone who purchases does the same homework.

Doubt it. No Contact Us details, outlook.com email address, items priced with the £ after the numbers and the information sections all quote $ and not £.

I`ve posted this before, but.... the reason cyclist wear sunglasses is for eye protection from flying objects.

That stone that flicks up from the car in front and chips your windscreen, how about it hitting your eyeball? :?

This is the reason I will only ever wear genuine Oakleys..... (need to skip the first ad)
