I am moving from Sram to SLX. But in a way to save a bit of money I planned to keep my X9 cranks.
I read I can not use slx chainrings.
Buy will this work:

Needs more info on exactly what cranks (2xX or 3xX, etc) you have now.0

but the 2011 ones.. which are 3-10 but with the outer ring removed and a bash fitted0

Ok.. so I ordered that Truvativ chaining... does anyone know if that will be a problem? I worry it is not a inner but a single0

What SLX stuff have you bought? Rear mech and shifters I'm guessing? Did you get front shifting stuff as well and is it 3 or 2 speed? Problem is that some SRAM cranks have non-standard BCD so you might not be able to get chainrings for it. Otherwise, as yours are 10 speed (and not that worn) you should be able to use shimano rear with SRAM front regardless of mechs and stuff., but can't remember what front type you need on those canyons.0

I'd just leave the rings on your cranks and see how you get on with possible slipping and chain suck, suck it and see.0

The cranks are 3 by 10. With the outer ring removed and replaced by a bash.. you used the outer rings blot when fitting the bash without a problem.
I have ordered SLX: shifter/rear mech/cassette. I planned on running 2 by 10 again with the old SRam X9 front mech.0
