Thank the heavens that its the weekend at close of play today. Really looking forward to my Wales trip tomorrow
I managed to build the Pikes back up, and they now sound great! Really chuffed with myself for that.

Today, I will finish the application form and get it sent off (sod doing work for current employer!) then come ho,e and put these Pikes back on the Blender, before shooting off to bury.

Morning bumders

Busy few days, had a course over at UKBikeSkillzzz the other day with VWbum and walked away covered in nettle stings, although the process of getting them was fairly awesome. Then lots of drinking left me having to play hungover hockey on Wednesday which damn near finished me off, oh, then uni meh yesterday which was dull. Anyways today is uni meh again, followed by possibly going to see Ironman 3, or sleeping.

morning all,

rode cc last night in the rain - i'm not impressed with some of the new changes and as has been said before, why is the trail now made out of clay ffs?!?

anyway, I was quite surprised as I haven't been doing that much xc riding lately and I did it in and hour and 20 mins, I was happy with that

i'm currently eating breakfast, wotsits is an ok food for breakfast yeah?

Morning all. Caught up on sleep last night after seeing new Star Trek (decent, but Cumberbatch is hamming it right up and it's overly long) and got enough to keep em busy today. Weekend riding will probably be CC as the local stuff will a massive bog I reckon. Kev, what have they actually done/changed then? Not been up there since that night ride with you a few months back.

"Right, I was holding judgement until I could be bothered to ride it. It's terrible. The bit after the free ride has a huge rut in the middle and has been made wider, but IMO more dangerous. The next section was like a puddle a thon. I've ridden it in the middle of winter and seen less water on the trail. The next descent to the style is ok and those berms aren't as bad as I thought they would be. But the descent just before the concrete ramp is terrible. That used to be my favourite bit. It feels like its not finished. I came down a steep little incline and into a left turn, there was what looked as if it was supposed to be a berm at the bottom but it was eroded/non existent. I went around it and the mud/clay completely gave way and my front wheel washed out and I went flying!!!"

Well today has finally arrived and I become a Valleys boy (kinda) Picking up the keys to the new homestead in a bit and moving some non essentials in, fortunately we have a little over a fortnight transition so probably going to stay in Cardiff this week (not least because toots and manchild mk2 are on hols) and gradually move little stuff then the furniture next weekend.

To add awesome to that, I'm off to see McFly at the CIA tonight, I know I'll probably be the oldest and maybe only man there but I think I can deal with a room of screaming women.

So if the good lord spares us and the creeks don't rise I shall report back later............now fark off

Morning all.

Day two of sitting through a Neuroanaesthesia conference. Very dull.
Three paydays left til i move then i'll officially be a Cardiffian again. Just the bond left to pay but i've been putting away £400 a month so i can cover all bases when i move in so should have a fair chunk left over.
Bought a ten pin bowling ball and it arrived yesterday so will be trying it out soon.

Had a meeting with an NFC expert who is looking to join with us, I knew about it vaguely... he gave us some demos and it looks awesome so many cool uses - I think it will be huge

In other news, 1st Friday night race of the season tonight and I actually feel pretty good, must be the 4 day week hopefully this will translate into an epic performance.

Oh god Kev, that sounds horrible. Why have they done stuff with those bits!? The bit after the concrete ramp was fine, as was the section after the freeride. I assumed they'd be looking at the bits that actually need attention

Boo hiss. I might ride it tomorrow simply so I can whinge about it properly though and also because local trails will be farked with all this rain.

there were no bits that actually needed attention, trail was in awesome shape.

there is a thread all over this in the routes section by the way.

Work is absolutely horrid today. Minion is still off sick. Slightly unintelligent ditsy minion left to assist me. Basically anything complex is beyond her understand so my desk currently looks like someone has thrown files at it. None of this is work I should be doing but I am having to. So my work for the last two days is in a massive pile on the floor by my desk waiting for me to do it tomorrow.

BNO in Cardiff tomorrow night for one of the girls birthdays. I get to go and spend sometime with Cardiff's permatanned special people.

Today I am going to lose my temper with someone.

You have my sympathy MissCMC I try to avoid places that the 'special' orange people visit. Just feels like a trippy charlie and the chocolate factory movie that never ends.

3 more hours left until the conference finishesthen it's home to relax before coming back in for a nice 9-5 stint tomorrow.

Afternoon Cruddy Types,

It's another day in the office here though not a bad one as only 4 hours to go. A good pedal in was had this morning, although they are bribing us with wine if we do a decent job of tidying up the office before a big potential customer comes round next week, so the ride home could be fun. Tomorrow the Bruiser goes back to the bike shop to get my super dooper new chain device fitted

Well today has been a fail so far, the garden is a jungle, the kitchen that was being tiled has been tiled but not grouted and I've lost 40 quid somewhere out my pocket. Seriously not a happy bunny today

I'm definitely up for messing up someone in the property management/transfer/estate agency trade.

Did you get it in writing that they would do this before you moved in? Withhold payment of next lot of rent until it is done on the basis of breach of contract?

Nope it wasnt in writing and I'm not arsing about waiting for her to send someone either to do a job I can do myself, Ive told her that Ill do the grouting and the tiles that need replacing and I shall withold a fair portion of next months rent to cover the costs. I'm a fair man and the woman were renting off is in the same position we were in 18 months ago so I'm not going to rip her off, but at the same time its annoying its not been done so if you want something doing right etc etc.

Oh and that wasnt some cheesy chat up line either, you know "hey, you fancy meeting up sometime and battering an estate agent?" as much as it sounds like the perfect date
