I wonder why the idea got abandoned for so long and then picked back up again. My only thought is that it was found to be a waste of time, and now someone somewhere has realised cyclists tend to buy in to a new concept reasonably easily if you market it coorectly and without much persuasion, so its yet another marketing bullshit, consumer farking "new thing"0

Yes, it is too much money to experiment with. It would be good on a folder at the right price.
Suspension forks with lockout gives best of both worlds, with no loss of power when required.0
