Ive seen some good reviews of this bikes big brother, the 960, but my budget doesnt quite stretch that far. The RRP on the 970 is £699. Would anybody eb able to shed any light if this would be an equally good ride to the 970, or are the forks a major let down?

SPEC:

Fork:Suntour XCR 29 LO / Coil Spring, Lockout, 100 mm travel

Do you really want a 29er?

    What's your actual max budget?

What riding you intending to do?

I think so! Ive test riden the scott and was liking the ease of speed and the way they just go over bumps almost effortlessly. Im 6ft 2 so the size seems pretty compatible. Use will be a mix of tow path and light trails

I was looking at around £600-£800 for the right bike.

Have you ridden a modern 26 inch wheeled bike to compare your experience?

    hhhmmmm, possible change of plan!

I have been offeered (what i think) is a great deal on a 2013 Cube Ltd 2934- £700.00 from a dealer. the spec seems to rock the Scott- any views on this bike for the prixce- RRP is just shy of £900.00 so the price seems great

Thanks again all, Im thinking of ordering this bike tomorrow

Most people don't memorise spec, so detail or a link would help.

Not bad at the price if it's new, with warranty, and you want a 29er.
