Morning all

Thinking of a bit of Monkey action at Cannock at the weekend

Last time i was at Stile Cop i noticed that there were workmen and plant equipment parked at the start of the Monkey Trail, and it seemed that there was nowhere to park

Are they still there ? if so, is there space to park, or would i have to use the trail centre car park ?

They're still there, building us a bridge to rival the Golden Gate. There's some space on the right-hand side but this is at a premium.

Options would include the layby further along the road towards Hednesford, the other one towards Rugeley or the other visitor centre at Marquis Drive (right at the top of Kit Bag Hill the climb back up to the Dog after the level crossing)

Conditions were pretty good today considering the rain. Damp-ish with puddles in the usual places but dry inbetween.

I managed to snag the last place this morning. Good early morning shred, although they need to sort that bomb hole on the first descent. It had about 2ft of water in it. On the plus side I did the two black bits on the descent.
