Hey Guys, a couple of rather nervy friends have literally just learnt to ride bikes. They are early risers, do you think it will be possible to ride in Battersea Park at - this time of the year - around 6.30-7.30 in the morning. The website give an 8am opening time but mentions some gate maybe opened earlier. The two friend live around the corner in Pimlico so Battersea would be perfect. Any info much appreciated
PS we're talking 12-14mph rides not the 17-25mph rides lots of people do in Richmond and Regents Park

If the gate/s open then give it a go. Someone will soon tell you off if its a problem for them.
Surprised it is not open earlier than 8 anyway.

I ride round Richmond Park most weekends, you certainly don't have to average 17mph+ to do it. In fact I think the majority probably do it at 12-14mph, as there's loads of recreational cyclists, at least as many as there are lycra-clad speed freaks! Being in Pimlico it's dead easy to get to as well, I cycle across from Hackney which is a nice little warm up!
