70mm? Is it a mountain bike?

Giant stems are 31.8mm (oversize) and come in 70mm length. Can be bought separately but would have Giant written on it obviously.

It's a road bike, but I want to try a shorter stem 110as present so would like 80 maybe.

I know giant do stems but I cannot find ANY 1 1/4"... they all 1 1/8".. this is my issue (American shops sell them but no UK shops)

    Here:

I had one before. It says 1 1/8 but includes a shim that, when removed, makes it 1 1/4.

I used a shimmed one on my carbon-steerered road bike as the shim ensured there was an even grip. I wanted a smaller one but at the time they were out of production and only very long or very short (<90mm) remained for sale.

Also look to get a bar that has a reduced reach from the flats to the front of the curve. You can get a further 10-20mm off that way too.

I just bought a Giant stem from Revel Outdoors. Not bad price either. You will need a 5 mm spacer too as it leaves a small gap. You can get these for 1 1/4 from MC Convey Cycles for £1.99.

I thought it was a road bike the OP was asking about

That FSA one looks very good, but unsure if it will have the same 6degree drop as my ritchy road stem on the Canyon.

Giant looks good, but I'm finding it hard to get a 80mm one esp in 1 1/4"(will phone that bike shop you recommended)

Anyone know a place where I can buy the same stem(ritchy) as my canyon but in 80mm 1 1/14"as they sell them in USA but why not here??

I've since sold it, but I'm fairly sure the FSA is about 6 degrees.

Have you tried contacting Canyon to see if they can source the Ritchey?

Have you tried Bike-Discount? I just bought a 120mm 1 1/4 stem for my Ultimate AL from them to replace a 100mm.

Found a shop on eBay (Victoria cycles) who stock my stem I need...

Edit... Bike discount is cheaper... By £10.... not sure how reliable they are though and speedy in sending stuff?
