Saris Bones 3 - Norco Sight

Hi, I've just brought a Saris Bones 3 carrier and been trying to get my Norco Sight mounted securely, but as of yet no joy. Haven't tried the Saris Bike Beam yet.
I was wondering if anyone out there is using this combination. :?:

    Im kinda in the same boat,bought SB3 2nd hand and went to put my Giant reign 2 onto it and it just wasn't a comfy fit.had to have the legs that hold the bike quite tight together to get bike on and had alot of movement,been told the halfords one does the same job,but only 20quid,so nearly half the price,let me know how you get on,cheers H
