Anyone been following this? Anyone know what complaint was made against her that led to her being docked 3 minutes and losing her leaders jersey?

Rode my socks of yesterday to get back to the bunch after a crash. Won and took the yellow jersey all to be taken away after a complaint

There were loads of crashes! The rain absolutely started hammering it down just as the bunch rolled out. A number of riders who went down then sat on the bumper of "neutral" service who supposedly towed them directly passed other groups of dropped riders involved/held up by the crash right to the front bunch.

I hadn't actually seen or heard anything about the winner doing it and no of no complaint made against any riders (it costs ~20 quid to put a complaint in after all!), but other riders certainly did, one rider even crashed hard and was luckily not seriously injured as she hit a pothole drafting the service car.

Rule is 20.12.5 "... riders in a road or circuit race may take pace or shelter from each other, but not from any other vehicle." btw. (and yes it's illegal even after a puncture, but at least that's a bit different to a crash... tbh from a safety perspective it shouldn't be encouraged I think...)

Also watched all of stage 3, and even watched the same neutral service car chatting briefly to a dropped rider but very obviously not attempting to help draft it. So at least the lessons were learnt (although maybe not if the tweets for stage 5 were to be believed, but I came home last night.)

    These aren't pro riders.

A couple of big fish drafted a race car for too long after being held up by a crash they didn't cause. Apparently expected to be allowed to remain contenders for the overall and were shocked to be penalized.

Maryka having a good race Jim. My club's women doing OK and excellent ride again from Amy Hill, hopefully riding her way into a place in the junior Worlds team.

Maryka had a mixed race really - but good training - crashed badly on first lap of first stage, with another from that crash rode through lots of groups getting more and more people with her until they were the 2nd group on the road, but still losts over 2.5 minutes. A good TTT from a not strong team, a pretty good road race but still silly enough to sit up out of the winning break as she didn't like the look of it - only to later have to solo bridge up to it again. 4th is still a good result there though regardless. An actual very good ITT - 4th and only 7secs off of Claire Galloway on a completely flat 6.8km loop - couldn't really have expected any more given the weight disadvantages.

Then she dropped her chain and jammed it on the first time up the 14% hill... so solo'd through every group again to be 2nd group on the road again - this time solo. So two good stages yes, but nowhere on the overall, for an awful lot of hard riding!

Yep, your club was having a very good ride!

I saw her TT result and the report of the stage which Amy won and she seemed to be on the front in every photo! Sounds like I caught the best of it. Seems to be having a very strong season from the women's results I've seen so far, be a good guest rider if we need one for the Ras Na Mban at the end of the season
