floating discs with BB7

Got a BB7 set up, and I've recently purchased a set of floating discs in 160mm. However, the bolts that join the inner and outer of the rotor hits the caliper. I can raise it up, but I was just wondering if it would have a dramatic effect on braking? I've currently got G2S rotors which are straight currently but I can see them possibly warping over time

floaters are a waste of time.

if you want better braking and heater dissipation go bigger. but you will lose some modulation

Dont raise the caliper, it will lose a certain amount of disc contact causing uneven pad wear and loss of power. Stick the original rotor back on, make sure the discs are still as new, then send em back. OR put a set of hydraulic on the bike.

How? there's very limited options for hydraulic road discs.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Sorry, missed that this was the road forum! The road bb7 brake is fiddly anyway. L
