Replacement for Avid Juicy 5 brakes

My 2008 Trek EX 8 came with Avid Juicy 5 brakes however the back brake seems to have seized up after a period of inactivity (blame the arrival of son :) ). I've tried my best to free the piston but it isn't going anywhere.

It may be that the brake just needs bleeding however I led to believe this is a pain in the rear end on Avid brakes so I'm considering replacing with Shimano SLX or something else. If I do replace the back I'll replace the front as well.

Budget of £150ish.

Any thoughts?

Cheers
