Need a new bottom bracket but what one does my bike use?

I have a Trek 3500 Disc (2012) my bottom bracket has started making some clonking noises on pedal rotations, so I reckon I will need a new bottom bracket, but I cant find anything to say what bottom bracket it uses? I dont want to get the wrong one.

    Probably square taper. Take the old one out and you'll get the axle length.
    But a 'clonking' is more likely loose cranks - check they are tight asap, or they'll be fubared very quickly.

    All sorted, decided to take the old BB out and it was making some funny noises and there was some play in the axle arms so put a new one in and all fixed.
