Alignment help

Technically this might be suited to the workshop forum, but it's a more general query really.
I don't have bad eyesight, but I was wondering how others manage to successfully align things like cleats and seatposts.
My cleats are really aggravating me. The left one's fine, but I just can't seem to get the right one lined up identically to the left.
Similiarly, how do you get your seatpost/saddle dead straight?
Am I missing any tips or tricks?

I wouldnt be overly concerned about ensuring your cleats line up 100% perfectly with each other. I doubt your legs are 100% identical - so go with what is the most comfortable.
As for the saddle alignment, i just look down the centre line of the saddle and line it up with the stem's top cap bolt. Never really have an issue0 -
For the saddle, look down on it from above, and line up the nose of the saddle with the top tube when there is equal amounts of BB on either side. Works perfectly for me every time
As said above even though it's tempting to get cleats perfectly identical, there are usually big differences between your legs anyway so it doesn't make much difference.
