Upsizing in the fork department - Is it safe??

After 4 rattly years of riding my 2008 Cube LTD Race with it's lovely reba 85mm over the scottish mountains Im beginning to wonder if putting a 100mm fork (or maybe even a 120...) would help me keep up with the Zesty boys a bit easier. Ive put books under the front end and sitting on the bike and the geometry change doesn't feel too ridiculous. The question is, can the frame take it??
In 2009 Cube started putting 100mm forks on these bikes, but would they have changed the geometry/headtube butting etc?
Any expertise much appreciated, Cheer, Roger

I don't see how a longer a2c will make you faster.0
