9 Speed Shimano Cassette on 11 Speed Body?

Hi all.

Can I run a 9 speed cassette on a Shimano freehub designed for 11 speed gears?

I really like the look of these wheels:

The ad states for 11 speed. I have contacted the seller who says the freehub is Shimaon 9/10/11 speed compatible.

I had thought that 11 speed freehub bodies are shorter in length than 9 and 10 speed ones. And also that the spline system may be different?

Any advice much appreciated.
