Morning Losers!

Its Friday, and a bank holiday weekend. This pleases me.
Had a good ride last night, feeling good today though a little tired. Will soon wake up though.

Work then Bury tonight. Bringing the Blender with me so I can hopefully tackle Lee Quarry and Phillips Park tomorrow. I'm getting the miles in now ready for the CcC2CC!

Laters!

    morning all,

another sunny day 8) my legs are aching after another load of push ups at CC last night. I love the trails like this, so much more fun to ride. Saw northern monkey there and said hello. Waylander: I also saw your car there but you were already out riding and gone by the time I got back to the car park.

i'll hopefully finish early today and maximise this long weekend by drinking cider in the garden later

    Morning bumders

Meh. Exam time shortly, yesterday was a nightmare, hopefully today will go slightly better. Thankfully after today 3rd year is over... and then it's only 2 more to go. This afternoon I'll be driving back home, making sure El Guano is working and getting ready to go to the Dyfi Enduro for the weekend. Then it's back to uni at some point next week to start 4th year.

    Morning,

No fun for me this weekend, bank holiday means working splits til I finish at 5pm on Monday. The next chance I'll have to ride is next Friday, which makes me sad.

Interesting week over, high points being meeting T-Mo on Wednesday and riding the 9.8 twice yesterday. Legs are very tired but I have the day off so a day of housework and chilling is in order.
Hopefully heading to Swinley tomorrow, followed by Afan on Sunday, and maybe back down the woods on Monday, if my legs haven't dropped off..

Less than four hour to go before I finish here and have a break in the sun sitting in a bar or on a beach watching fit girls in bikinis walk by all week.

Finished early last night and went out on the bike and an early finish is on the cards again today as I'm into holiday mood already and cba with it all. I'll do the bare minimum to get by and pretnd the rest of the time.

    Later......

Exam in an hour, so naturally I'm procrastinating as hard as possible. This afternoon I predict drunkenness.

Nice little blat around the dusty trails last night for me. Absolutely shattered now though, phones gone every night so far which is wrecking my sleep. Beery lunch. Mooch through the afternoon, chill out watch some films this eve. Maybe a few cheeky glasses of red. Ride as much as poss on the weekend. Off call for part of monday, so might make a trip to Afan to try new Whites descent.

    Over and out.

Had a lazy day so far but have just had two bacon and egg rolls with tom sauce and brewing a proper mug of builders tea (Yorkshire hard water tea). Am currently trying to build up the energy to go cut the grass and spray the weeds and a few other boring jobs around the house. Then if I am not to knackerd go for a blast on the bike and follow it off later on vegging out in front of the tv with a few films and some ice cold beers.

I have a question for you Welsh types after accidentally watching a few mins of "The valleys" or whatever the hell it was called when channel hopping last night. First question is do you all look like the illegitimate love child of David Dickinson and Waynetta slob mixed with a large portion of wannabe WAG? Seriously WTF?

Flipping heck teenage siblings are ruining my sleep! She still hasn't checked in which is causing the mothership to go into a meltdown which commenced at 7am this morning, after continuing into the early hours of last night. Myself and the next oldest are trying to reassure and track down missing sibling at present although it's not easy when they are in deepest darkest Tanzania. I'm running on the basis that no news is good news and she is just tired and busy and hasn't thought (which would be the typical teenage thing).

My boss is off today and a couple of people have rung in sick so my day has turned into fail. I am currently not doing my work but that of 2 other fee earners and signing off things and just answering questions. I am resigned to not getting anything of my own done today and just sitting here answering questions and signing papers and authorising payments. On the way home a chilled bottle of New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon (yes I'm very particularly about my wine) will be making its way into my bag. It's not often I feel like I need wine after a day in work but today is feeling like one of those days already.

I decided to embrace summer today, skirt is on, as are wedges and I have painted my nails last night and then inadvertently this morning put on a top which is the same colour.

Today will be fuelled by sugar I feel until I get out of here when it will be fuelled by alcohol until I fall asleep.

Sounds like an awesome day... Not. Still wine sounds a good idea.

I need to do go food shopping and do washing, then tinker with my bike because... Well cos I can.

    F**K YEAH!

    It's Friday!

Planet X is in the car and I'm off out on a ride to Aldeburgh, Snape and Orford.

Weekend is going to be busy so I'm making the most of this afternoon.

Ar'tnoon, freaks, howdo weirdos (what the hell am I doing here?)

In work five hours and I've just got to the desk. Faaaaaark. On the plus side, I'm b****ring off early today.

Tomorrow will hopefully involve some bike play, although the rear shock for the full-susser still appears to be being warrantied by Mojo. Poo. Back out on the hardtail, I guess.

Monday will likewise feature bikes as I shall be at Cannock. The rest of the w/e will be spent in Skunkworks with the ongoing racer build. There is a second-half of the season we hope to have it ready for.

    Onwards! To coffee! And lunch!

Don't rub in the 'I'm having a day off' thing or I will do the same on Tuesday. Although I'm sure my day wont be as rock 'n' roll as yours and will consist of getting up and getting siblings to school.

My brain hurts too much today. Currently looking like I will be in the office tomorrow morning catching up 'cos thinking about anything complex is evading me today. Oh and in other chores I have to choose a pattern for my bridesmaid dress this weekend and then get measured for it.

Is it home time yet? Got a meeting this afternoon - if it's in a warm room I may well be asleep part way through.

God my brain hurts. Will this day never end? All I want to do is sleep or watch rubbish tv...

Ah, with this liquid lunch you are really spoiling us. Three hours 'till I'm done here. Chill out, filums, gumbo, vino. Job done.
Enjoy your weekend scummers - I shall mostly be riding, cooking and doing fark all for three days. The presence of on-call is a pain indeed, but not having to actually spend time in the office is a gift horse not to be looked in the mouth.

I don't like How I Met Your Mother. I did my Dallas catch up last night. Can't beat a bit of Dallas tension. Oh and New Girl, Big Bang Theory, The New Normal and The Walking Dead. Oooohhh and pre-ordered Dexter season 7 today :)

    Afternoon Losers,

Today has been rather good - we had one of those 'office communication/ask the directors questions' type of meetings this morning where you just sit and listen to stuff and they were dishing out fee bacon & egg butties and coffee top get people to turn up. I definitely got my moneys worth...

Just got back to the office to turn off my PC after a sneaky early pub trip :) Now considering whether I am sober enough to pedal my way home through Central London traffic without getting squished by an artic.

    Current watch list:
Castle - not as good as it used to be, but I am invested now and .. NAthan Fillion. C'mon.
Defiance - feh. I need scifi in my life and it's not total balls. There's a lot of nonsense, but at least they are trying and it's not terrible.
Banshee - Done with now, but fark me was it entertaining.
    Game of Thrones - Duh
Person of Interest - Computers see everything you do. Jim Caviziel punches many people in the face. Nolan brother involved. Excellent.
Continuum - Canuck sci fi time travel thing. Not bad. Part of me watches because it's set in Vancouver and I try and pick out the bits I recognise twelve years later. The rest of me watches because enough happens each episode that you keep gong.
    Community - Funny as. Surreal
The Americans - KGB deep cover agents in the 80s. No-one else seems to watch this, but it's totally ace.
Anthony Bourdains Parts Unknown - I first encountered this guy on a flight to Singapore three years ago. Former chef and junkie Bourdain bounces around the globe doing a very different sort of travel program. He pretty much just gets lashed with locals and stuffs his face with amazing food. I saw the Vietnam episode on the way back there and that was me sold. A man after my own heart. He did eight series of no reservations and then fucked off to CNN because they gave him more editorial control. If you are remotely interested in travel and/or food then this is essential viewing. I have to restrain myself from booking a plane ticket after every episode.

Right. Telly review over, time for some kip.
