A gtr elite with full sram red, zipp hubs and rims for around 2k, or the new look 675 with ultegra?

That looks the business !!0 -
I thought I was the only one. It looks totally amazing in real life as well.0

How would that compare price wise to a half price 2012 695 (if you're a 53cm)?

I hate the headtube/stem thing going on there, and as for the wheels, well.Yellow is the new Black.0

It retails at £3799, however the gt although a less rigid frame has full sram red on it with Zipp hubs sapim spokes, (bladed) and cole rims?0

Funnily enough, when I was speccing my Look 585 at Epic (which I think is much prettier than this one but I would say that wouldn't I?!) the salesman was pretty dismissive of the whole alloy wheel with plastic fairing glued on approach. Besides, it's not still 2009 - does anyone spec Cosmics these days?Faster than a tent.......0 -
Each to his own but that Look is just horrible in a number of ways, not just the silly stem integration c@ck-up.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0

Some love it some hate it, but the question is which one?
Gt gtr elite frame with full sram red, zipp hubs cole rims and sapim spokes, zipp bars and post amd stem, or the look 675 base model spec!0 -
The Look for me. I just think that their frames are great - top quality.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

I'm not sold on the finishing kit, think some of it detracts from the aesthetics a lot. But overall I want a 675 100%, I'd probably have to sell my whole 566 bike just to buy the frameset thoughLook 566 viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=12892775&p=18015091#p18015091

Look 675, but with Ksyriums (or something similar) instead of the Cosmics0

Why don't you buy as a frameset anyway? Couldn't just do a frame swap & get the other parts as & when? You can get decent groupsets & wheels quite cheap from Merlin Cycles at the moment.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0 -

What's wrong with the rest of it? Nothing about the frame stands out as being particularly unusual aside from the headset. And it is a bit foolish to call the stem integration a c@ck up. Whilst I'd agree that it isn't pretty, there is more to life than looks - and I bet you haven't actually gone to the trouble of considering if this arrangement is a good technical solution.passout wrote:HouseMunkey wrote:I'm not sold on the finishing kit, think some of it detracts from the aesthetics a lot. +1 That'll be a sample build anyway. Look only recently started selling complete bikes - most are built to customer spec.Faster than a tent.......0 -

It seems to me that people will like that stem because of the way it looks, not its technical solution, so saying that there is more to life than looks seems a silly way of sticking up for it.
Not that I think its wrong to have a good looking bike though, I just think that one looks a bit style over substance, even if its not. The wheels and red cabling seem to have been put on to add to the wow factor.0
