cannondale trail sl1 v saracen zen 2 SALE BIKES

Hi all, having had my spesh hardrock sport stolen from home over the weekend im looking at getting a replacement. Ive narrowed it down to 2 £1k ish bikes that I can get in the sales, a Cannondale Trial SL1 and a Saracen Zen 2. Being quite a newbie Im not too sure of the specs on these 2- though I belive that they are superior to my now stolen hardrock sport. If anybody has any advice on the 2 that would be great. In my mind I know Saracen had a bit of a porr reputation from its Halfords days, but I understand they are now free from their shackles!
