Thought i,d post a pick of my new ride.Bought it december but only used it a few times as was stored over winter.
Have to say the ride is spot on.Will probly change wheels some time as the giant ones are good but a tad heavy.
She wieghs about 8.3kgs in medium size frame with cages and peddles on.
Over all,very happy bunny :D .

    Looks nice that, I prefer Giants in black. Just double check that front brake caliper is torqued up LOL :shock:

    What do you think of the sram apex groupset?

    tiagra c3 was £900 but the apex c2 is £1100. There's only the apex c2 in my size, so what do you think - a good deal?

    LOL Canny Lad,been checking it every ride.

    Ian if you can get a c2 for £1100 thats a bargain,£400 quid off proper price.Go for it.Apex is great,works well and great for the hills,which is why I got it.

    Cheers Elderone, lovely looking bike. I had my doubts over Apex, purely because of what I've read online (I know - not great). I always thought Rival was the 105 equivalent but both Canyon and Giant spec Apex at that price point.

    Apex is 105 spec.Giant on the comp range have tiagra..apex..ultegra,where apex is swapped for 105.You get full apex through out as well.The defy 2 was aimed at sportive riders with hill climbing as its main point,hence the 32 rear granny gear.

    I really love that color scheme. 2012 right? Has got to be one of their better color choices.
    I don't know Giant lately are doing absolutely horrid color choices lately.
    Very tempted to get one myself despite I just ordered a more racier Rose bike.
