GSC-10 sensor stops working in the cold?
I have a Garmin 500 and GSC-10 cadence/speed sensor. I've found that the GSC-10 seems to stop working when riding during the very cold mornings we've had this spring. It is OK when the temperature is slightly less cold, or indoors on the turbo. I've tried changing the battery, but that made no difference. Has anyone else noticed this at all?

Could be faulty then... mine has been out this winter in some miserable weather but still functioned.0

I was out on my bike during the winter when it was below -5c and my GSC-10 was still working fine and the speed/cadence was being displayed on the Edge 500. You don't happen to have two bikes, each with their own GSC-10 sensor do you? I had something similar where if I forgot to switch the bike profile in the Garmin when taking a different bike out for a ride. Seems the Garmin remembers which GSC-10 belongs to which bike profile.0

I've used a couple of mine below -15°C during the winter without any problems.
I suggest checking the alignment of the magnets. I once had the correct speed downhill and on flats but not uphill or when standing, but once I had realigned the magnets it all worked fine again.Brim Cycling Channel - My YouTube Channel
